This site consists of a collection of design projects that I investigated during the fall when in Copenhagen on a Valle scholarship. During the time of my Valle research, I was able to visit several great examples of contemporary contextual design as well as some really impressive urban design projects. My goal is to summarize my observations on the contextual projects in the form of an article or a photoessay. In doing so, I've chosen to focus on the four (or five) projects included as part of this blog. During the month of January, I plan to conduct interviews with designers who worked on these projects in order to get a sense of their approach to the design process.
